Great! I'm glad crash is back to his glory.
God of War, no one can denys that this came exceeded expectation. Coming into this generation were a lot of gamers grew tired of God of War and it invents itself and turn things around. Few games can achieve that and get braised for it even more than the original.
Microsoft fixing their mistake and lacking of good exclusives. Competition is necessary for Sony to thrive and provide their best without getting over their head. This gen Sony didnt have much of competition.
Madden shooting, loss of life is always saddening and a hard time on families. Especially when their life ended unexpected.
A lot of developers this generation did amazing job especially the Japanese one starting with from software, platinum games, atlas, and many others. But the one studio who had it hard but this didn't deter them from delivering on their promise and didn't implement MT bullshit is No Man Sky developer. They kept improving and adding new content. I don't like the game and never tried it but they didn't leave their ship to sink like other might do.
I think this generation is lacking from 3rd party games and innovations and taking risk with games. Now, it is all about how to milk customers and how to monetize their games. Bioware released lack luster games, gearbox nothing special, bungie with destiny, Bethesda with garbage 76.
Troy backer and nathan nolan are the greatest va in gaming.
I'm easy irritated, so I would say too many to count.
I would say in almost every game successful there are people who are not celebrated since majority of the praise will go to the main man/ company behind the game. So, I raise my hat for all those who are working in the shadows to make us experiences like nothing we experienced before.
I would say Cliffy B, after he did gears he got to cocky eventhough it was nothing special. It was a good game with good MP that is it.
I hate the lego this and lego that. It is beyond me why everything hss to look like characters.
Solid snake is the best character ever
I found myself liking games in different genres. But if I have to Choose i would say action/adventure and Jrbg. I loved games such as prince of persia, assassins creed, uncharted, tombraider in action/adventure and games such as ff7, ff8, ff9, parasite eve.
Lootboxes and microtransactions the cancer of this industry and the one thing might bring it down. The full price game implementing p2w framework. I hope the industry will leave this practice behind next generation like how they abandoned access passes from last generation.
The thing I expected this generation is better AI and a smarter one. I think the industry as awhole need to work on advancing its AI. I totally understand movements patterns are a key in designing a game and for gamers to learn these patterns to overcome obstacles. But I wish if games blow our minds with a unique AI capabilities.
I think indie gaming is revolutionary and will change the landscape of gaming. People are getting tired of big publishers with the same releases every year accompanied with microtransactions and loot boxes. At least, I hope people will stop supporting the big names and find the gems that are in indie games or smaller titles.
Bullet storm, I just hated the game and couldn't get myself to finish the game. It was technically sound but I found it rather boring.
I will choose Golden Axe III, since this one was my first game on Sega system and I really fall in love with Sega after that. I spent countless hours on it and it has best characters in game ever at least this is what i remember.
