I think the graphics are whats made Final Fantasy - On the Playstation/Playstation 2 no other game has really competed with Final Fantasy in that department (my opinion). Final Fantasy prob wouldnt be that popular without the graphics...
By the looks of it, microsoft is slightly playing catch up with playstation. Of course they are still creating and getting brand new games, but they are getting the multiplaforms of sony. I can only see this making the consoles closer and "the same" in a sense. (By only looking at microsofts antics)
I wont be surprised if i see microsoft and sony making a console together in teh future haha

without a massive questionnaire i wouldnt know about whats going on in a japanese gamers head. that evidence in retrospect with FF13 is intangible/debatable.

Dont get me wrong the PS3 will sell more in Japan. (Xbox 360 Japanese version hasnt even been announced, but if it is PS3 will still win)
Worldwide it could be a different story. The Xbox 360 basically has a 5million gap to play with..
The facts are:
19 million Xbox 360s worldwide.
14.41 million PS3's Worldwide (2,009,492 PS3's in Japan)
The PS3 still has to make up a 5million gap... With only 2million in japan thats pretty much impossible..
As far as i know the PS3 only outnumbers the Xbox in Japan...
Sales in the Xbox "controlled" countries should prevail due to the huge divide in sales...

lol ok ill give you the story was a bit political and sometimes boring/confusing in parts...
maybe the gameplay will be a tad downgraded from teh ps3 version, but im gald the story and length will remain - even if i have to switch more discs...
FFX was a great game!
I would have to say FFX perhaps puts in a good challenge as the best FF game...
although FF12's story was pretty good, im welcoming the terrorism to appear in FF13 rather than full scale war

At the moment Microsoft is investing huge amounts into the games industry. Sony on the otherhand isnt on the same level.
And when that happens games will come to Microsoft.
