They probably looked at the budget for Silent Hills and said screw that, were not spending 100 million dollars to make a game that will at best sell probably around 7 million..
I'd cancel it also if I were Konami, there is NO universe where it was going to be cheap to make, Im sure mediocre Del Toro would have wanted a massive pretty penny, Norman Reedus would have cost a butt load then there is Kojima and his team and the advertising costs....

IF we want to get super technical Sony actually did it first with the Vita, which last I checked came out way before the Xbox One....Its also done differently between the PS4 and X1, kinda the same way you can start installing a game and be playing in 60-90 seconds on PS4 and 15-20 minutes on X1

It will have MINIMAL EFFECT ON THE XBOX ONE, the vast improvements will be on PC ONLY...And considering the Xbox One is at least 12 million behind the PS4 it wont do ANYTHING for mutiplat games, developers are going to develop for the console with higher sales...So 1st party games are the only ones that will get the small improvements

I get the feeling that they are looking to really get out of the video game market, Konami really doesn't profit from it. The majority of their profits come from all of the other things that they're into. If they aren't looking to get out completely they're definitely looking to scale back significantly...Video games for Konami is more of an expense that doesn't yield major profits for them.
Really cause every time the 360 had a dashboard update for years it instantly made any theme purchased useless, and they never had good free themes....So its not something new
