OLED is the future, colors can be calibrated to heart's content ... whereas on IPS Panel True Blacks cannot be achieved because any variance of LCD based tech simply cannot generate it at all. It is because of its lacking ability and dependence on light source being used in the back or side of the panel.
So yeah ... OLED is the true Successor of CRT tele when it comes in true blacks, colors and visual fidelity.
I might buy this device after all as for the following reasons.
1. Gamepad is like proper gamepad with L1R1 and L2R2.
2. Second it supports native output and playback of 4K resolution video over HDMI.
3. Games aren't gonna cost fortune like other handheld devices.
4. Longer battery life.
5. Finally the real talent (which are freelance people) will be able to release games without the need of greedy publishers, scrutinizing/micromanagin...

If PSVita is any indication for what holds in future for next gen is the controller style.
DualShock4 most probably will have touchpad if not touchscreen (like Wii U Controller). One of the reason I believe PS3 Controller is not able to be used with PSVita (like you can with PSPGo) is because, first the obvious reasons (touchpad and touchscreen), second I believe PS4 DS4 Controller will provide required number of interfaces (buttons/touchX) and will be connectable with PSVita...
Nowdays, console industry is all over motion controls and what not. Can the next gen please make an attempt to offer the basic required feature which should've been there from beginning

Playing BF3 in hardcore mode with no headtracking support literally ruins the gameplay experience. Same goes for Gran Turismo 5 ... :)

If 30fps is what next gen going to offer then ... I believe there is no need for it because current gen is doing just fine in that department.
Next gen has to be 60fps in every genre be that racing/fighting/tps/fps/etc because it offers visual fluidity and immersion level ... which 30fps simply can't offer.
I'd rather play game with less filters/sfx/etc and consistent 60fps than everything turned on and only offering 25 - 30 fps.

But something different such as Dino Mode will only have positive impact on game sales, able to capture much more wider audience and don't forget something different to play from normal modes will only help in increase the lifespan of game ... as people will be able to switch between different modes and when gettin bored from one will be abl...
I haven't bought any of the map packs ... other than B2K ... because of previously known issue of input lag on PS3 ... but as everybody knows that latest patch 1.07 has fixed it for everyone. So I'm probably gonna get this one for sure ... :D
Btw fellas any news you were able to dig about Dino Mode for BF3 ... cuz I'm 100% sure that it's gonna sell like fresh buns out of oven on release day.

By reliable and sturdy I mean no matter how many hours you operate them in one go even months they will not break/fail ... provided ... and I repeat provided that you operate them as instrucuted/within guidelines and along with common sense which I hardly see in people when it comes to game consoles.

This is an amazing innovation ... but the thing I don't understand is why the heck MS is still using cameras for reading movements. Everybody knows that by the time image captured to translated to processed to display resultant action on screen ... the lag will be soooooo immense that you wouldn't be able to play or use these devices for anything. Kinect is a prime example of that.
What MS needs is a raw capture of signals and transmission of those signals to contrap...
BF3 current color pallete is like of a dying crt televisions with color saturation problem. The thing I don't get it, lcd/led televisions and monitors are capable of displaying more than 16million colors ... whereas BF3 has resort down to lowest limited bumbers of color pallete defeating the very purpose of having colors on your television in first place ... I swear to god you wouldn't find much difference if u play BF3 on black&white television.

My only issue with this game is Input Lag, same lag problem made playing Killzone 2 impossible for me (which I stopped playing and didn't buy any single DLC) and this game is also giving me the same hard time enjoying its awesomness.
I've been patient for last 7 Months and going to wait just few more months so I won't have this regret that I stopped playing it too early and didn't give developers a chance to fix it.

Any console using camera to capture gesture, illuminated object etc is, no matter what, always going to be slow because of the processing overhead and will never come close ...
