That's because they have to make it game as profitable as possible. Look at tge original XBOX. It was more powerful than PS2 but nobody took advantage of it except for Splinter cell and Far Cry. Why? Yes but with more ram then the game could be More visually pleasing and more importantly can be bigger and add more details. Look at my comment above. Your buying two console that can interact with each other. Remote play in its current fourm is ok. No gamebreaking lag. And the ps4/VITA is built around it so I expect less lag. You can't use 3G only wifi or 4G wifi hot spot ( when your on the go) good for visiting relatives/friends who have wi-fi but you don't want to truck around your PS4 everywhere.
