I dunno, any system would need a lot of catching up to do with Kingdom Hearts to get III. And the HD remasters are even PS exclusive.

I wonder how they would incorporate the incredibly different gameplay styles of each character and universe. I agree, we need more details, but I am certainly intrigued. Plus, we'll be able to see every relevant (or irrelevant) character in true next gen!! :o

The environment looks lush and gorgeous. The combat looks smooth and inventive, very pirate like. The naval battles look even better than in AC3. Looks like the perfect pirate game an gets ruined by the franchise it's labeled under. Sad milking by Ubisoft.
Damn, was hoping it'd be better. Still might check it out, hopefully each issue only gets better.

Where in the quoted statement does it say that Masahiro Sakurai was inspired by those games? The statement clear as day reads that several people have credited those games, not the creator of Super Smash Bros. If there is any "fanboy raunchiness," it's clearly on your part.

Agreed, so far the only thing I'm not liking is that tail head. Looks so weird on Mewtwo.
Usually dig the new forms. This time, however, not so much. What makes matters worse is Mewtwo is my favorite Pokemon of all time, and they did this to him.
