SSX Tricky and SSX 3 were good games... Glad EA gave the franchise some time off though.

You're able to try fine. THQ had like up to five levels in multiplayer and EA always has like a 5-day trial period. If you read the article Mortal Kombat will supposedly get two days trial.

Except that at launch the 360, PS3 were sold at a loss. Revenues were made up with attachments like accessories, controllers, and software.
The Nintendo 64 was sold at a loss. So was the Gamecube. The Wii was sold at a profit.
I don't see why Nintendo wouldn't announce a new console. They should use all the money they got from selling the Wii at a profit to pack in a ton of new technology and sell consoles like companies usually do: at a loss.
