@Belking The game is coming out on March 26th in the Americas & 29th in Europe. That's almost two months as I explained multiple times in the article. You might want to read it if you disagree with my statements.
If you consider this game journalism, then that's understandable why you don't. This is just analyzing the information that we have already about the product and the product's developer. Personally, I'm not a fan of connecting the term journalism to the game media as 90% of reporting done online has been given by publishers. Journalism takes research on the topic while spinning it either in the author's or publication's political views as this article just took informa...
@Hicken Again, I don't really see where you guys are striking at the part where I'm saying 'video games play a massive part in this' issue. Every situation you come across makes you understand and determine how you'll encounter another situation like that in the future.
I've been playing games since I could figure out how to hold a NES controller and I've played games as violent as they can be. I've watched military videos for militants be shot...
I don't see how I avoided the 'root of the issue'. Every single thing you encounter in your life affects who you become in one way or another: the Butterfly Effect. To ignore this fact is to remove logic completely from the solution. Read the last paragraph again if you disagree with what I said.
Wish I could apply.
Treat the person with a bit of respect. I don't care that I look like a complete asshole in saying that about a representative of a developer who may not have delivered on a product that you were anxiously waiting for. Did you purchase the expansion packs already and nothing for it? Nope. If anything you should be asking for for a fix to the original title as there are still major flaws to the PS3 version (and the Xbox 360 version has some issues too but not as game breaking as the PS3 ve...
That person on Twitter came off as super entitled.
Thanks for not clicking.
Windows is actually a great name because the Microsoft OS was like a Window to a new world. Kinect is a mix between the two words kinetic & connect. Kinetic is moving energy which connect would you with your gaming console; cheesy but logical. SmartGlass: smartphones & tablets. I don't know why they went with glass but it makes sense either way. Xbox doesn't really make sense.
Possible launch ideas: Halo 2 HD, Another Gears of War title without any of the characters that we've gotten to know, Dance Central 4 with updated Kinect, Fable 4, a new Kingdom Under Fire & a new Viva Pinata.
The Bakersfield comment was a joke. To go from saying that Mario is getting bland to saying that it's hated is like saying that I hate McDonalds. As a well-established fat guy, I like to pick up a McDouble from time to time because I enjoy it. In the eyes of these 'writers', they have to not only have a McDouble but a Big Mac Value Meal everyday. The change between playing different franchises is enough to keep their appetite at bay until they get what they are really craving.
This piece reads like a vengeance piece. All credibility for this little blog that I've never even heard of has just been thrown out the window. Mario is one of the beloved franchises in all of the industry and to say it's the most hated is just ignorant.
Casual consumers will say that they like Mario plus looking at sales data proves that the statement that it isn't hated. The site being based out of Bakersfield might explain why there is such deposition for succ...
That makes a lot of sense. I don't see a price cut coming in Q1 2013 but instead Q2 2013. Just like how Microsoft isn't marketing anything past the summer for next year, I'm sure we'll all find out more information late summer next year about both consoles.
What I was doing was predicting the plans for the PS3 & PS4. It's labeled in the opinion category. I'm only presenting a logical explanation. If you can't see the truth in that, I don't know what to tell you.
The article was supposed to bring about logical discussion for what Sony is planning for the future of the Playstation brand through their consoles.
How can I know what the plans for the PS4 are unless I work for Sony? Plus if I posted the plans for the PS4 if I in fact do work for Sony which I don't, I would be fired and sued for leaking information to the public.
As always Internet, you ask for the impossible. Thanks for the comment!
That ratio might be off but it's closer to that than 1:10.
Sorry. :)
@MiamiACR21 As I reported the original story from The Verge, the $99 Bundle is rumored and hasn't been confirmed by Microsoft and probably won't be until E3 at their press conference on June 4th. If Microsoft knows what's best to bring in a potential of 1 million new Gold subscriptions, they'll do something similar to this plan. As @refocusedman said though, there will be better deals like on Black Friday or Amazon's summer sales.
The whole thing with this editorial is the explaination that the Xbox 360 isn't just a gaming console: it's an entertainment cable box. While us gamers have known this for years if Microsoft markets this right, it could mean a change for all of streaming media.
