Not locking out an entire install base of a hundred and sixteen million gamers for a game that many of those people may want to play doesn't mean they don't believe in generations, nice try though.
Right? Another article that needs to be failed.
Didn't you know unless a new AAA GOTY level game releases for Playstation every week they are "stumbling" and doing poorly, the same standard is not required for anyone else though apparently.
We sure have been getting a lot of these kinds of smear articles at this supposed "pro Sony site" lately.
Oh look another one, please someone remind me how there's "not" a Sony smear campaign going on. There's an article like this almost every day.
Why is it Playstation is the only one held to the standard of a "steady stream of new games" when other console manufactures are given as much time as needed to get theirs out?
@KillBill
I'm not changing anything, I'm stating facts as apposed to mindlessly riding the IGN fodder train with you.
"Last year we made a commitment to deliver free upgrades for our cross-gen launch titles, which included Horizon Forbidden West."
"we will stand by our offer:"
Clearly some people are trying to change the story but I'm not one of them.
Go ahead post t...
Posted as an update to the IGN article that jumped the gun and got it wrong as usual. I've been around this gaming thing for a while and IGN has a long standing history of crapping on Sony any chance they get especially if it gives them an opportunity to peddle xbox. Updating IGN's fodder article is not indicative of a 180. Maybe in the future people will learn to wait for an official statement from Sony instead of jumping on the hate train IGN is conducting.
@Silly gameAr
100% correct, glad somebody said it.
Funny because a lot of you accepted the BS that IGN wrote without hesitation. Had people just waited we would have gotten the official word from Sony which was already going to be this announcement unless you actually think that in a matter of a couple days time the people complaining in the comment section on N4G got Sony to make a 180, lol.
"Sad to see them only commit to paid upgrades for future games though…"
Some people are never happy.
Or just wait for actual confirmation from Sony instead of grabbing your pitchforks anytime IGN writes a Sony hate article. We should be demanding better of IGN.
What U-turn? Sony didn't get the chance to even clarify the upgrade option before IGN jumped to assumptions so they could write their little hate article. This is a classic case of someone else creating a problem that never existed so they can advertise for xbox, gain click revenue and rile up the usual's in the process.
This was already planned by Sony bud, IGN jumped the gun in an effort to rile up a certain group of people and clearly their mission was accomplished. Now all those people and IGN have egg on their face as usual.
"Players who purchase Horizon Forbidden West on PlayStation 4 will be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for free."
So all that fake outrage was for nothing. This is why articles like the one from IGN that was clearly meant to do nothing more than rile up a certain group of people shouldn't be allowed here and should have been failed.
@lonewolf10
Apparently Atom666 is not aware of its as a possessive pronoun, its in this case belongs to the article itself. Simply replace the word its with 'the article has' and the statement still works. Lesson over. We're done here.
Grammar not "grammer" and I'm just trying to help you out there's no need for the hostility and sarcasm, some people actually appreciate learning. Again, Sony isn't making anyone do anything smart consumers will figure out how to save money on their purchases, this is the usual fanboy fodder and its drawn the usual crowd.
Cool then I guess we can stop with all these articles then, right?
Its making a mountain out of a Mole Hill and its food for trolls, no if's or but's.
No one is being forced to do anything. So far all we've gotten out of this is an advertisement for xbox and a whole lot of trolling from the usual suspects, so mission accomplished I guess.
Whatsoever is one word and smart delivery doesn't look any different than it did before.
You're right Miles Morales was much better graphically on PS5 thanks to RT.
