Its not justa bout how powerful and console is. Some developers build there own tools and engines to make things look and play better.
Killzone 2 is using great tools that the devlopers made to get that lighting and didnt use ureal engine 3 for example, otherwise it would look totally different.

FOrza 2 is aloud damge but no bending of pillers because of resons you should know.
