I kind of agree with you to a point. All the stuff excluded from launch but added later would backup this. I am completely fine with this though because I have enjoyed my time with both console's so far. I am loving how Microsoft has been improving the Xbox One constantly and making it better and it will continue

Why does Microsoft need to 1up Sony by having their own VR headset? They need to do their own thing and keep doing what they vision with the future of Xbox, and focus on having great games and great online service.
If Microsoft wanted to have a VR headset with the X1 they will just have Occulus Rift
Yes they do make great products but most of their products are overly expensive which is why they are in the financial positions they are in now

I get your point with the DRM always online thing but that is not why they chose Microsoft, I think they thought the X1 would dominate atleast in the beginning like the Xbox 360 did. I bet they will have a actualy campaign for Titanfall 2 and hope they do
It isn't a "Half-ass" game. Their vision was the "best" multiplayer experience ever, they were trying to evolve the FPS. A campaign was not in their vision since the game was all multiplayer focused than why even have a story with no thought into it

I play them as well but I don't buy it for that so it doesn't really matter to me. I would buy Battlefield and Cod if they got rid of the story all together

I hope they remake Gears 1,2, and 3 first so we hardcore gears players can hold off and let our 360's die, this will also sell more console's since people which want to play them on the new system instead of the old.
I want them to maybe do a pendulum wars or just go with all new characters with the former Delta Squad at head of the Cog and maybe make a new Delta Squad with a new enemy and war 50 years or so after Gears 3.

Also, it would be bad for Xbox if Gears went to Playstation, because they would be without one of their best franchises
I don't know about easily because some games for the PS4 are not 1808p/60fps. I think a constant 1080p/60fps for both these console's will be a struggle for a while
