Of course they need to react and it's not just this recent buy, but Microsoft could well and truly with the right moves made put Sony under a fair bit of stress. A move by Sony would be wise and if they do nothing to me that would feel like Sony are saying we will stick with what we have and chance it on that. Itss exactly the thing that got MS into trouble to begin with which was do nothing when the other was making moves. In this industry a company has to keep on moving.
I find that hard to believe on no load times, the game is ridiculous and I can't play the game because of the stup load times.
So much potential this game had and it was slow slow content release and super long load times that annoyed me along with the Spiderman crap.

Not everyone Owns both, Not everyone can afford to own both by buying games for both platforms, many would have to make one choice or the other.
Cus series S and X is cheaper for what you would pay for that same quality on a pc.
With those types of games it's easier I think to release the game and have the community route out the bugs and then the devs go take them out. PC MMO's have done it like that for ages and it's much faster having a forum open for bug reports so players can ticket them. Games like that for a dev team can be like finding needles in a universe but get a million or more players playing and your universe in shrunk.
Theres that Hood game from Sumo Digital on the way out that I think looks very nice..
I wished MS would acquire Ubisoft and Sega, those are my two, but Crytek are good as well.
I feel MS will just let Bethesda or Zenimax carry on because whether some want to admit it or not they are a very successful company with successful titles. I do believe MS will want to enhance them by expanding teams and giving them creative freedom.
They will be MS right hand man in the business I think and they have the ability to sway millions not thousands into buying a Microsoft machine, they are that strong a company.

I thought sony fans bashing MS would understand that it took console generations for them to finally see playstation 4 games look so good as what they do. Certainly didnt happen overnight and it certainly takes longer to see the kind of results alot of us are waiting to see.
I'm patient, so long as we see some ace results in games like what a few of Sonys devs can pull off, I'm okay with the wait.

So you dont like the tease years before a games released, so company's should just stop releasing trailers and reveal info, places like N4G would become nothing if that happened and you certainly wouldn't know what console to buy.

Though with what you say I would support the old story of making a SP and co op/multiplayer versions of games from now on so every fan could at least get the experience they want that. It would certainly justify abit of a price hike for the extra work devs would be doing in studios and Taketwos claim that gamers are ready for price hikes wouldn't be so bad, so long as games released in better quality and devs released content faster.

I like xbox achievos better I must admit, but both consoles achievements have some very annoying ones that only a lunatic would try do because of devs making some super tough or super tedious. I remember way back for battlefield 2, just 2 achievos alluded me and I never felt so mad, forgot what they were exactly again but I were super pissed lol.
First couple of years of a new Gen console is always remasters, and the fanboys won't accept it for some reason.
They should look back at Xbox one and PS4 and see how many exclusives came out first two years, I can't remember many.
In fact most were praying for Elder Scrolls online was it because there were no exclusives for both machines and because of the constant pull backs of Elder Scrolls people were going bonkers for just one game to release...
