A future Dirt does not need to be associated with anybody really... it is what it is.
Sense of speed is in the feel of terror trying to keep the car on the road. It might not look fast but it 'feels' fast.
Besides, you were going pretty slow.
Video is badly captured but it shows technique of setting the car up for each bend - fastest time as well, in fact he's pretty much had the fastest time on the daily for most of the week.
Showdown was a spinoff and only a 'Dirt' game by association of the tag, it wasn't a game in the Dirt # series as such.
Agree on your other point though, damn right.
As well as the visuals being 'enhanced' and not by much I expect.
Battlefront Audio was mixed in a studio by Charles Deenan... all formats including Dolby Atmos.
It could have been using in-game assets for all I know.
But I do know it was mixed to perfection by Charles and gang.
This does not mean I expect less from the Audio Team at Dice. They can work wonders.
OK, I'll rephrase, I guess exhaust gasses are diverted.
But the characteristic sound of a turbocharged car is gassy. They never sound as good as NA.
Do a google for 'turbo charged vs normally aspirated exhaust sound'.
Or listen to a V12 Huayra (turbo) vs V12 Zonda (na).
Gas vs no gas. :)
The implementation of those recordings is a black art which they have not yet perfected.
They can record whatever, but they need to turn a static recording into something organic.
I'm taking back my 'plain wrong comment'.
Driveclub sound is good and they do resemble the actual cars.
I can even hear the air being chucked out of the exhaust from the turbo.
It's just that 'chorusing' and the lack of real off throttle sounds that ruin it.
Forza Horizon wins this by a mile. It might sound a little thinner, but it does not sound plain wrong.
There is something wrong with the implementation method on all of Driveclub sounds. The engine sounds always have a weird chorusing going on.
It's no use making a big song and dance about the recording of the cars if they cannot play back the recordings in a representative way.
Also, Driveclub does not have distinct deceleration / off th...
If you read the article you'll find the site is actually quoting the devs.
Looks beautiful but sounds like crap :/
Bungie actually posted a link in the weekly update, so they do know. Doubt they are doing anything about it though.
Add some friends Poodle, it's all about having fun with friends.
Hmm, yeah I know it's hard to just 'add some friends' though. :/
Just for the record.
My Level 27 finally got an exotic bounty yesterday.
I handed in ONE crucible bounty to receive it.
Many have said hand in many but I just think it's random, perhaps with a higher chance the higher level you are over 20.
Naa, he was looking for another company to jump ship to.
I can't seem to stop playing this 6/10 game.
It might be repetitive, but it's also addictive.
Addictive repetitive/10
Tips for playing solo:
Plug a mic in and team up with friends, much more fun.
'Funny' pun bubbles.
Not really, I think it will be a bit like Guild Wars (the original). 20 was the level cap, but that was just setting you up for the rest of the game.
There will be much to do beyond reaching 20.
EDIT.. Motes of light taking you to virtual 30 for one ;)
Wow, that's like ground breaking, tell the BBC!
