Prices is not an big issue here, they are barely a little more than LCDs were like 1-2 year ago. The thing that might slow sales is that a lot of people just bought a Hi def screens and might not be ready to buy a new one already for 3D.

There will be an firmware update for your ps3 but yes you will need a new TV, one that supports 3D
