I'm really looking forward to this game! The one thing that bothered me most with M1 was the lack of split screen, now that is taken care of. Other than that the loading times were crap. Hopefully this will also be taken care of.
The only thing I'm worrying about then is the sense of speed, that wasn't really great in M1. Of course playing in c0ckpit view helped a bit.
Doesn't most games use the ingame engine for cutscenes and such now anyway?
There was a article about testing a 7200RPM disk in a PS3 not long ago. The conclusion was that it produced minimal amounts of heat over the 5400RPM. Also install and loading times were faster.

Yes, let's bring hair into a discussion about facial animations. Brilliant! Facial expression in addition to body language IS how one shows feelings. Pretty much every review of this game gives it promise for it's gameplay and storyline. Not to mention that it has the best acted cutscenes till this date.
I am atleast very looking forward to playing this game.

Edit: About balance/unbalance: For the most parts I agree that this is one of the most balanced multiplayer games out there, but how the hell can a plane be almost totally unable to kill a trooper?
One would expect that a burst from the machine guns would tear the poor sod to shreds.
I guess this it what happens when a reviewer focuses his entire (and very short) review around ONLY the negative aspects of the game...

Besides, it makes perfect sense to have both "PS3 only" servers as well as these cross platform servers. The few players that choose to play with the sixaxis doesn't want to play against a keyboard and mouse.

If you look at the picture of the article you will see that the gift card is for Blu-Ray movies only. Still a great offer imo.
