You're completely wrong! When the retailer is forced to lower the price on games, having not sold what is shipped, they can get money back from the publisher!
When Sony's or MS's shareholders want to know about consoles sold, they want to know how many units are in the hands of people buying games, where all their money is made! Especially when you're losing money on every console, which is generally the case at the beginning of a generation!

Only hitch in that plan is that if stores can't sell all the copies, they can get some money back from the publisher when they're forced to lower the price!
Disclaimer: Not saying this is the case with BF3, just saying that this is standard practice with games when they don't sell what is shipped!
I use to work for a giant soft drink company(you can guess) and they buy back anything the customer can't sell!

They don't have a choice! They can't risk alienating the retail chains; especially on something that performs far worse than retail chains!
Look at the PSPGo fiasco! Retailers won't even carry the small Memory stick Duo and Gamestop refuses to carry the $20 PSN cards!
If anything, they will wait for next gen to fully push this and have 1TB standard HDD!

Not true, no 360 news gets up to any degrees! There's just practically no such thing as a 360 fanboy anymore! They all either became PC fanboys so they can still disparage the PS3, or bought a PS3 and are now the rabid irrational PS3 fanboys you are speaking of. Look at the PC section; there are more PC owners posting in PS3 news than are posting in their own news!
There's no 360 news that gets any kind of attention, unless it is also tabbed in the PS3 section!
Did you know the XBOX was easier to develop for and more powerful than the PS2! But developers didn't care because PS2 was more successful!
Simple fact is, if it wasn't for the 360 releasing earlier, this whole "PS3 is hard to develop for" thing wouldn't even be an issue!

I hadn't really had that "I'm getting killed a lot and am frustrated feeling", but plummeting down the Great Hollow 100 times while not ever getting a crystal gekko changed all that!
But that's the thing about this game, I climbed up the whole tree without dieing once on the way back! Something can be so difficult, and then click, you just get it and master it!

Which one will you choose? Nobody cares that someone is being excluded, what matters is that one console has MORE games to choose from than the other and one console has every game that's on the other console plus many more games.
