Ah yes. Typical SquareEnixe fashion. The EA of Japan.
Shovel out effortless pile of s**t, charge stupid price for it because you still think it's 1998, and that you are SquareSOFT, and everything you make is pure gold. LOL
Who really needs big publishers these days anyways? Never been a better time to have smaller teams, making better games. Hopefully he moves on to something closer to his own vision.
Doesn't have to be bigger and/or flashier to be better, and given how "AAA" has been handling the industry the last few years? They aren't all too difficult to beat either.
See this more and more these days, as these garbage progression systems have come out of their holes. Software bots to progress through the "fun game" while the person is asleep or at work.
Part of me doesn't blame them for doing it, but in the end, it is still cheating when in comparison to their peers.
Just build good games that are FUN to PLAY, and this trash wouldn't be necessary.
Yes, what the world needs is more Destiny type garbage. Pretty sure this genre is already taken and claimed, but sure, keep flushing that money down the toilet on d.o.a. projects.
I never realized that adding a different control method constituted charging full modern day price, for a 6 year old game. Way to give these companies more ideas to siphon you morons for more money.
AAA Marketing Dept: "Oh s**t, look at these idiots. We can map in some VR controls, and re-release the game for full price! We do 1/100 the work, and charge 100% of a new release price.
I love the gaming community. It's so cosmically stup...
No, there isn't. In the end, they are all using the "haves" and "have nots" approach, to psychologically bombard users to pay money into the loot box.
Cosmetic doesn't give this garbage a pass. Again, it still turns into the "haves" and "have nots".
Get rid of this garbage, make a good game, make good and worthwhile dlc (if that's even possible), the money will come.
I don't blame them in this case.

Your magic died long, long ago SE.
Just another bullet point on reasons I look forward to, and will greatly celebrate, EA's demise some day.
Champagne on ice, party at my place remember
Awwe, and here I was hoping for an article titled "Why EA Is Going Down.... ByeBye EA."
Maybe some day in the near future. One can only hope.
"can" ? I think you mean "does", inarguably "does".
Need for Speed - I Want My Money Back, should be the new title of this piece of EA schlock.

*gasp* Imagine that.
Yep. Nothin like playin 6 year old games in VR as the headline for the PSVR.
lol Figured this would be the last place it would be #1, given how often Aussies are f**ked over by pricing and the like. Strange indeed.
Of course they will. Even if all "AAA" companies drop single player games, there will always be others who rush in to fill the vacuum.
Single player games will always have a place, because I will always prefer single player games.
Given there are ~7 BILLION people on this planet? I'm sure I'm not alone. Not by a long shot.
Better question is, how can someone (you) be so oblivious?

Just when I thought the human race couldn't achieve a new low of stupidity, here we are.
Should have more like 9,000,000 players, boycotting EA as a whole.

Let them raise the prices. I'll have no problem with that myself. Should be hilarious to watch the fallout though.
