Is it proceeding smoothly enough to lay down a release date? We know it's definitely coming in this gen after being delayed throughout most of last gen, but all the skepticism, jokes and eye-rolling won't stop until at least we see some hard numbers. Or a screenshot at least.
Remind your loyal (maybe blind at times) fans that you are still working on it by "showing" us, not just telling us that you are.
Loved how Sakurai trolled us throughout. I know he is in a much more unique developer position compared to most who work for Nintendo, but he definitely keeps up with the fans and takes as much feedback as he can without compromising his own vision (ie. Brawl).
Destiny for sure would be enough. Never got into Borderlands for the gun RPG it was, but Destiny might get me to actually buy at launch for once and resubscribe in a long time (don't judge me).
As someone who doesn't keep up to date on release dates (that way I'm pleasantly surprised when they do come out) I did not expect all these to come out before end of summer. Not bad!
Not surprised? If it's truly a next-gen game, I wouldn't expect a flawless port to a previous gen. Is there anyone who is really a fan of this game and so excited to play it on their 360 or PS3? I mean if you don't want to upgrade yet, if you've waited this long, wouldn't you wait a bit longer to experience it on next-gen hardware?
Perhaps just do what some have done with Tomb Raider on the PS4. You have your fun and those who haven't upgraded yet can ...
So let me guess. Lots of misunderstanding and assumptions going on, but in the end, everyone including Microsoft (I mean c'mon, it's MICROSOFT!) understands that hardware comes before software. So an author's words was made to be MS's, when it wasn't.
So as many are noting, interact with THAT particular author's claim (He even said not literally?). Avoid the strawmen arguments.
I'm happy that MS is doing all it can to improve perf...
Speechless. Is there any game that can't be minecrafted? Minecraft itself? An RPG? A racing game?
Jumping is so last gen, like Mario. Maybe they're going for realism. There are no jump buttons in real life. Or I know! He can hack his pda to enable the god mode cheats, which include jumping.
Seriously! Give the guys some credit. So far it looks like a multi-plat port done right, especially considering the cross-gen difficulties. Good for 360 owners. Bravo Bluepoint!
This is madness! THIS IS N4G
Seriously though nice to see N4G stocked up on PS4s and sharing the wealth.
I'll admit that just in the title itself, "Hardcore Gamer" + "Kinect Sports" didn't add up to me.
Awww man and I thought we were all going to get along this gen. Maybe some day, there will be no consoles and perhaps the barrier to PCs (which is debatable) will shrink and be more accessible.
And then everyone will own some monstrosity where everyone can play the same thing... right? ...I know I know. More money if there's competition.
Wish there was a way to capture the moment you read the news. Congrats!!
Agreed. MMO subs are fine, but the issue here is that there are some reports of being charged upfront for the $15, presumably for the month after the free one month trial is over. That does seem shady. Why the need for pre-authorization? According to someone reviewing in-progress on kotaku, there is no precedent for that.
I don't know how I feel about this. It does make motion more fluid and having to press a button can make it seem "sticky." I'm all for not having a game on rails and just pushing up, but I think they'll definitely have a wide range of contextual maneuvers available (hopefully).
For example, no jump button but when taking cover, holding up + A will vault you over. Or if you're sprinting, it will automatically vault you over.
Aside from that $15 pre-authorization fiasco currently going down, I've read fairly positive in-progress reviews.
I'm curious on the numbers comparison between Titanfall and Infamous SS. And since there was no SS bundle but there was a TF one, and SS is only on one platform while TF has the pc, 360 and xone. Interesting...
I immediately thought gamers unknowingly unlocked future DLC, such as Cole cameo or boss battle. Or Riddick mode difficulty.
Congrats Bowzabub! And thanks N4G staff for an awesome contest.
They are following business trend. Mobile games bring in fast revenue and there is a wider market in mobile than consoles, which is mainly the gaming crowd obviously. Flappy Bird was played by more than just the typical gaming audience after all.
However, I agree that for these kind of games and these big companies, mobile sucks. Oddly enough, I enjoy the indie small company titles on mobile (who stick to mobile and are not in the console biz), but to see SE trying it, just s...
