Halo 5 had the perfect method, all the future map DLC is free and any lost potential income is covered with the availability of REQ packs.
Despite was MANY uninformed fanboys on N4G are saying these REQ packs do not unbalance the game in the slightest. They are simply there as an option for very impatient people to quickly unlock cosmetic features.
They have no effect on ranked game modes and yet people on here have been panning it as...
@S2Kilinit I think one of the biggest problems Halo has going for it is that Heroic has always been the ideal difficulty to play the game.
Whenever people say the game is 4.5 hours long they should really be playing the game at a higher difficulty.
A legendary playthrough on Halo 5 is a good 12 hour investment.
Also review score is clickbait.
Id rather a new Galactic Conquest than campaign, However, I would love to see this engine used to create a new republic command.
The only Issue Ive seen so far is one that seems pretty undocumented as of yet.
Rare Replay is now broken. I am now unable to play any of the X360 games due to the console assuming they are being run via backwards compatible and not Rare replay.
All I receive is a message stating "do you own this game or app", It sucks, but hopefully it will be fixed soon.
After playing through Halo 5 I really don't see how anyone could think Halo 4 deserves a high praise than 5.
Some of the missions in 5 really hark back to the epic scale seen in old school levels such as Halo 3's "The Covenant" and Halo:CE's "Assault on the control room" & "The Silent Cartographer".
This series has become a joke.
Whats even more sad is that people are creating articles like this praising it.

:') I wish they would recycle the ability to customise the roster in mycareer mode, like we used to be able to do in HCtP.
You could basically pick the entire roster you wanted to compete against, imagine now, you could run an entire caw my career or any era you could want!
The option for offline battles is there, just greyed out. But they have gotten rid of Galactic Conquest. Which, unless they release something similar as dlc, will dramatically shorten this games life.
Online only = consumers getting f*cked.
On a side note how amazing would a Republic Commando sequel be in this engine :')
And as much fun as I've had popping heads with the cyclical rifle, I don't think it should stay, in fact I think it actually has a negative effect on the gameplay.
Also with all the equipment in general I think it takes away from what the original battlefront was. Regular soldiers in combat, there was no call of duty style super soldier esq bs where one player dominates the team and soldiers felt realistically weak.

Did you ever play the Xbox version of Battlefront 2? It was far superior to its PS2 counterpart.
The icing on the cake was the four player splitscreen only available on the Xbox.
