I really enjoyed your review. The game reminds me of the Television series LOST in so many ways. Stranded on a mysterious island with strange secrets hidden all over. The philosophical nature of the recordings etc, but the island is filled with puzzles.
I also went in to the game totally blind. I didn't want to know a single thing about it. I wanted the game to teach me how to play in its own way. I loved that there was no map at first. I loved how the game does not hold ...

Just because a game is hard doesn't mean it is not a good game. Just because you get stuck doesn't mean it's broken. All the information is right there for you. I got stuck at the Tetris Pieces puzzle for over an hour, but it turned out that I didn't understand the rules...

Totally agree with everything you said, even about Lawnmower man lol. Sony have learnt from their past mistakes. They are going all-in on VR. The support is there. The experience in the gaming and entertainment in there. Movie and TV studios are there. They're moving to the States. They have Mark Cerny and Shuhei lol. Sony will smash this. VR will be a success.

I don't care what anyone says, a game like this, knocks Fallout 4 out of the park IMO, Fallout 4 is a different type of game, but I'm just getting so much more enjoyment out of The Witness than a game like Fallout 4.
Honestly, I'd advise not using a guide at all for this game. One of the best parts about this game is figuring things out by yourself. I played for 8 hours straight and it's a magical game. It's just amazing. It's 'ONE OF' the best games I've ever played in my life. I want to jump back on right now and I don't want the game to end.
