My thoughts exactly. I own a PS3 and I own The Last Of us.... but I bought the remaster, why? Because I felt like playing it again and I'm an adult with money and I can spend it on whatever the hell I want to.
The vast majority DO NOT want or care about BC.
The same goes for Xbox. Microsoft even said, with their special kind of PR spin, that 50% of gamers have "tried" BC... meaning that if it's a new feature people try it out, but the majority don't actually use it regularly at all.
My current Gen backlog is so freaking big it would break your back to look up at it.

When Sony announces all these great games like GoW and Days Gone etc, people were saying they were years away from release. But I think Sony are waiting until they're nearly done to announce them.
I think Death Stranding is a special case in which the process of creation for Hideo is an advertisement in itself.

No they're not man. They're just speculating and for some, it's interesting to think about. Personally I believe any talk of PS5 is friggin' stupid. PS4 is absolutely killing it. Why even speak about PS5?
No way. Sony is just better. They're better at making games and more of them. They've got the user base and the name recognition. They've got the studios AND they've got the ability and courage to take risks.
Microsoft has NO CHANCE to EVEN UP the competition. No chance.
