I'm gonna say NO, because it's been a while. I've only had my ps3 for 4 years... and I still feel the life it has, not to mention the new exclusives coming out later this year. The only thing that bothers me is that the latest Battlefield is too much for it... kinda makes me feel like getting a PC rig because it's already in the next generation...
To be honest... I haven't experienced any of these extra outages. Never really been online while the psn went down again. Ever since it re-lauched it's been smooth sailing here :)

PLAY BFBC2 That game utilises all of the same techniques. During MP and SP. It's just how DICE makes the game. This is nothing new and to be expected if you want a more in-depth SP and MP experience. You can't simulate a building falling down in a video game and not have to worry about some SERIOUS processing issues. That isn't something you want to be solely based off of physics.

Not to mention the 5-hour long press conference that Sony is having and the fact that nintendo may have a brand new system. MS has absolutely nothing going for it. So what? a new Halo? Gears 3? Not enough to win E3 in my book. Both Sony AND Nintendo are revealing new platforms (NGP and possible Wii 2 AKA Project Cafe)Not to mention MORE THAN 2 EXCLUSIVES that we care about.
