Xbox Live isn't even worth paying money for anymore, at any cost. What, just so you can play games online with your friends? Playstation Plus is really the very best value in gaming now, especially since they greatly improved the service since this year's E3. I used to be an Xbox fanboy, and even paid for Xbox Live Gold for 8 years. While I don't like certain things about the PS3, it's free to play most of those very same multiplatform games online with your friends, and if yo...
Maybe you should pursue the "American Dream" and BUY your own home then instead of pay rent to someone else and make them richer. ;)
Yea, I agree completely. I've had my Vita almost two weeks now and it's by far the best handheld gaming experience I've ever had.
Haha We should expect at least 1000 hours from that battery, I'd hope! :) I'm just powering mine off now when I go to sleep.
My Vita crashed first on launch day, after having it for a week with no probs whatsoever. I went to sleep, woke up and it would not power on at all, even with the battery fully charged and being connected to the charger. After performing several resets by holding the power button down for 15-20 secs, the orange light would keep flashing and a large icon of a battery appeared on screen with a big X thru it. This went on for 20 mins and eventually it started to work, with me thinking my Vita ma...
The 3DS is only #1 cuz Nintendo was forced to slash $80 off it just months after launching and then having to offer many ancient, but free, games as downloads to their early adopters. Also Nintendo Japan's president took a massive paycut and Nintendo's stocks took such a beating. Original games? How many times do people actually wanna play a Mario or a Zelda? They get old real fast and they lack something called replayability. The only truly original game on the 3DS right now is a ga...
What economy? The Dow broke through 13,000 two days ago for the first time since the financial crisis in 2008. The official unemployment rate has been in steady decline for months. What price? The PSP launched for $250 in 2005! The PSP Go launched for $250 two years ago. And let us not forget the crapbox that is the Nintendo 3DS that, yes, also launched initially for $250 just last year! None of those previous three handheld systems had a quarter of the power and potential that Sony's awe...
The Vita is for gamers who actually want a device like it to first and foremost, play good games and provide great experiences. If you don't want a PSV, don't get one. You're simply not the target market.
I've had my Vita First Edition Bundle since last Wednesday. Three words sum it all up: Worth Every Penny!
The Vita version isn't coming out till November. So in the meantime console players would be waiting for the Vita to intro them before we get them as dlc most likely next year. They make it seem like the Vita is the major player here, altho UMvC3 on the Vita is damn good! That decision I'm sure will conjure up a lot of unnecessary hate for the Vita when they should all be treated equally. Consoles are king. Not handhelds. Not ever.
Wow, why should the Vita version get 12 major fighters but not consoles?! I'm sure we'll get them, but a handheld version shouldn't get them before a console version! Capcom, listen to your fans! We want those fighters at the same time as the Vita and we also want Resident Evil: Revelations as well as Monster Hunter for the PSVita!
I've had the 3G Vita for almost a week (First Edition Bundle) and the 3G works really well for what it's intended for. I couldn't play UMvC3 online, but I was able to receive exclusive in-game items (metallic Herald skins) for a few of my fighters and I was also able to upload and share skins I already had to NEAR for other nearby players to download into their game. I also traded rare items through the Uncharted Black Market using the 3G connectivity as well (yes it can also be d...
So true. If Apple enters video games, the Big 3 are kinda done. I love my Mac, iPad n iPhone but PLEASE Apple, please don't enter video games. I want to enjoy my 360, PS3 n Vita and their successors for many more years!
Nintendo games (Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Smash Bros, Mario Kart), usually only apply to babies. That's Nintendo's market: Babies and little kids. Nintendo is not for TRUE gamers in the 21st Century.
The next Xbox will win the next generation, just like it won the current one. More people in the US (the world's largest gaming population) have 360s than PS3s, Call of Duty and many multiplats usually play better on the 360 because it's an easier platform to develop for. And then there's Xbox Live, which has tens of millions of paying subscribers. It might not be free, but you get what you pay for. The 360 hasn't seen a price cut in years (PS3 has) and all through last year, ...
Yes, I have foreseen this as well.
That video was a waste of a minute. The article made it seem like you'd see the startup intro as the Vita powers up for the first time. Lame.
It's not fun to hate? ;)
Because Sony as a company is in trouble.
I started with the 360 in 2005, picked up a Wii in 2006 and then finally a PS3 last year. I sold my Wii 2 years ago and have mostly been a 360 gamer until they updated the dashboard last year and Kinectified everything....creating a really terrible UI, at least for me. I agree with you, and while it's great to have both systems (360 and PS3), my preferreed system actually changed from 360 to the PS3, especially with the new Playstation Plus this year. I basically use my 360 now to only pl...
