Microsoft has definitely lost contact with the core gaming audience. Project Natal is not the first example nor will it be the last. Their decision to not include a hard drive in every single Xbox 360 unlike the original Xbox is very questionable.

As far as the future of Project Natal, Microsoft has yet to learn their lesson that add-on's simply do not work when attempting to extend the life of the console. History has proven this. In 1993, Sega released the "...

Xbox 360 is on the brink of it's inevitable death that Dark Sniper has preached for a multitude of years.

Microsoft's strategy of smoke and mirrors, combined with monetary bribery could not hide the fact that Xbox 360 is the most unreliable, outdated console that has ever graced gaming. The numbers show that people are tired of complacent, underperforming games with a stagnating online service that fails to innovate.

In 2006, consumers knew that Play...

Killzone 2 set the benchmark of how First Person Shooters should be developed. By utilizing 100% of the power of PlayStation®3, what you will be treated with is surrealistic gameplay that will undoubtedly have your eyes second guess the difference between reality and virtual reality.

Dark Sniper certainly is looking forward to another AAA title that will further enhance the PlayStation®3 portfolio of quality matched with quantity. Watching the inevitable demise o...

Xbox Live has been a portal for children to express themselves in a manner that no human being with ethical sense and respect for others would ever react. These juvenile delinquent children have conducted themselves in such a poor manner that the government has threatened to step in and regulate what Microsoft won't.

Dark Sniper is in full support of cleaning up the community by barring these children from their Xbox 360 in hopes of a better future for themselves and...

Shenmue is clearly the greatest game to ever be created. Sega AM2 and Yu Suzuki did a masterful job creating an immersive world combined with creative exploration and a truly epic storyline.

There's no reason why Shenmue III should not be in consoles in any shape, form or fashion. Yu Suzuki is rumored to make a return to the gaming industry at this year's upcoming E3 convention. If he shows up without anything Shenmue related, both him and Sega will have a price t...

In Dark Sniper's personal opinion, Shenmue holds to this day as the greatest video game that was ever made.

The effort that Yu Suzuki brought in this title has spawned the core inspiration to many of the games that we play today. When Dark Sniper watched his monthly episode of Qore this past month, in the God of War section it had it's own section dedicated to Quick Time Events. It was coined in that exact phrase. It reminded Dark Sniper of where the gaming industry is today...

Out of the lies, deceit and the common drivel that Microsoft has spouted over the years, in the end one thing remains. The numbers never lie and the truth is Sony's fully loaded barrel staring right in the eyes of Xbox 360.

The reasoning for Xbox 360's pseudo superior sales numbers is simply because of the system launching in 2005 and PlayStation®3 launching in 2006. If you take away the 5 million that Xbox 360 sold during the timeframe before the PlayStation®3 laun...

Whatever Hideo Kojima is working on, the one factor that is known is that it will be greatness. With his increasing knowledge of how to harness the PlayStation®3 hardware, Kojima will once again break the barrier of modern videogames as you know today.

Whether it's a sequel to the critically acclaimed Snatcher, Policenauts or Zone of the Enders. It's safe to assume that Microslaves will never touch the goods of what interactive entertainment truly means. Xbox 360 enth...

It's refreshing to see that Shenmue is still getting the credit it deserves as one of the most influential and immersive games of all time. Dark Sniper is certainly in full support of the highly anticipated Shenmue III announcement that will hopefully arrive at this year's E3.

Once again, Capcom has harnessed the internal power that PlayStation®3 provides for the high definition enthusiast. Super Street Fighter 4 is no exception.

The colors on the Xbox 360 version is washed out with faded textures and an overall bland color scheme. Compared to the it's superior port, the PS3 supports a rich and fleshed out art scheme. On the PlayStation®3 version, you can see the personality that Super Street Fighter 4 was intended to be.

At it's roots, Splinter Cell is a franchise inspired directly from Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid masterpiece. Over the course of time, the portfolio of Splinter Cell has not been in a positive light.

The latest entry, Splinter Cell: Conviction is no different. With last generation graphics and a "me-too" play engine. The game feels far too generic to suit the tastes of those who have been playing games that have pushed the medium to new heights. Specifically s...

The moment that Dark Sniper is waiting for is finally coming close. Sega Enterprises and Sony Computer Entertainment coming together to bring the biggest, most blockbuster franchise that Sega has exclusively to PlayStation®3. Shenmue is coming back. This personally brings tears of happiness to Dark Sniper's eyes.

Albert Penello has the right idea, but wrong execution. Dark Sniper wholeheartedly agrees with those who are on the fence on for the Blu-Ray market, they should focus their attention away from Xbox 360. Instead of purchasing a Blu-Ray player that shortens the quality and the experience of high definition cinema, you should focus your sights on PlayStation®3.

What some may consider to be a paradigm shift in game development, Dark Sniper considers to be a natural transition. Developers have taken note of the AAA content that appears exclusively on PlayStation®3.

Every company wants to produce a title that will generate revenue and deliver a top-notch, quality title that the fans feel comfortable spending their money on. Which is why PlayStation®3 is now the focal point of multiplatform game development.

Another disproportionate and questionable move by Microsoft. Dark Sniper seriously questions their allocation of funds. Instead of taking the correct route and securing their own first party studios to enhance the gaming experience on their console, they waste funds on securing franchises that have jumped the shark.

This is part of the long term investment that Sony Computer Entertainment has preached since the launch of PlayStation®3 in 2006.

When you invest in a PlayStation®3 Home Entertainment Terminal, you are assured that you will get at least 10 years of sheer entertainment and product reliability at it's highest level. Which is why everyone across the globe has recognized PlayStation®3 as the official household name for consumer electronics.

This is good news for PlayStation®3 enthusiasts such as Dark Sniper himself.

When it comes to gaming content on PlayStation®3, Sony Snipers demand quality. Which is a primary reason why Metro 2033 is not only absent on PS3, but not wanted on Dark Sniper's console. The reason being is because THQ is going for quantity over quality, which is cardinal sin in game development. So it's not surprising to see THQ throw this title into the garbage pit of consoles in Xbox 3...

As a Shenmue fan, Dark Sniper wholeheartedly endorses the excellent job Toshihiro Nagoshi and his development staff at Sega has done.

Yakuza 3 continues the unique style and flair that made Sega what it was for it's time. Sega will always be known as a company who did their best to ensure that the gamers were catered to before anyone else. We now live in a world where the politics of gaming are prioritized over the games itself, Microsoft being fully to blame on this.

This is certainly news that Dark Sniper has seen coming since November 17, 2006. When PlayStation®3 was released, it was known that it would provide nothing but the best in terms of gaming content, video playback and overall entertainment value.
