Wow. A lot of haters here commenting that haven't even tried the campaign in SOCOM 4. This guy seems to have tried both Battlefield 3 and SOCOM 4 so I would take his word over the majority of N4G users.
Also, if you look at gameplay videos on YouTube... they actually do look a lot a like.
I am at least going to give this game a chance. If it sucks, then I can always trade it...
This has nothing to do with fanboyism or the console war. You enjoy video-games, don't you? Well, why don't you support the developers and buy your games instead of pirating games? The thing that you don't seem to understand is that this is effecting developers more than it's effecting Sony. Console sales will now sky rocket because of the hack--game sales will plummet. It really doesn't take a genius to figure this out.

Move gamers will still have a major advantage over DS3 gamers. This may encourage camping and sniping, and if that is the case, DS3 gamers don't stand a chance.

Not excited for any other PlayStation 3 game? Wow! The Crytek engine performs better on the PlayStation 3 so Crysis 2 would be an optimal buy for the PS3.
Seriously, though... Killzone 3, Infamous 2, Little Big Planet 2, The Last Guardian and the Agency and the only thing you are looking forward to is Twisted Metal?
Demon's Souls is a lame hack and slash game posing as a RPG. The multi-player mode is quite stupid, too.
I am content with the way most multi-player games are now. I would rather get a quality generic first person shooter rather than a failed attempt at some crappy artsy game.
So screw innovation... stick to what sells.
I don't agree. Graphics aren't that important. Game-play first, story second, graphics third.
