One word. Supply. It's incredible the number on Japan, because the ps5 it's not a conventional console for japonese gamers. It's huge and they usually prefer smaller devices. Even so, it seems impressive the numbers in 2023.

The strong point of consoles was always having just one spec machine each generation. Studios could max out the consoles. With Microsoft it's impossible. It's holding back and game after game we are watching that. There no spin possible. The talk scaling it's just talk.
Not really. It's barely stronger then the upgrades of last gen, in some important, points like ram and bandwidth, it's worse... But of course it's not. 3rd party studios just need to waste resources tryng to make it run with 3 or 4 times less gpu power, half the ram, much, much less Bandwith. It's next Gen only on the marketing and publicity.

It seem the future of Microsoft gaming division is really on the line. They think this deal will save them

We all know that Microsoft is great on PR, but only some eat what they say..... Sony, like many gamers, aren't a bunch of morons. I think it's time to let Cod die slowly. Microsoft should keep it.
Redfall is a generic shooter. There are tons of them on the market. It's not a triple AAA blockbuster game like forza and starfield.
Money. There market for a cheap console. At leat half the consoles sold by Microsoft are S. But the console is weak. You cant have everything.
But without it, microsoft would have sold 9 or 10 millions consoles until now...
