MS just needs to cut back on certain things, they could easily avoid these job cuts, they spend like mad...
I've been holding off getting this because of the American biased servers which means games for us Aussies will smell, I'll take this on pc when its cheapo on Steam thanks.
Well that's what Xmas is for, get others to buy you games you can't afford :P.
I doubt it, he says the gameplay is great whereas the cutscenes get a bit boring (which is pretty much what everyone says). He isn't bashing the game in any sense, just giving his opinion on why the game won't appeal to him.
Banjo is a truly brilliant game, I love it!
Yay! Braid made the list! For such a small game it has been quite underrated, still haven't played MGS4, but I've heard only good things.
Definitely, this is a far more complex RPG than Fable and whilst Fable was great in its own right, Fallout 3 just seems to have the more advanced gameplay.
It's a very darn good adaption, sure it misses some things but it still captures the atmospher of the sadistic wasteland that is Fallout.
Much like Oblivion, this game takes a lot of work to get into it. I was cautious about how Bethesda would perform, however it seems like they've hit the gold in terms of recreating the Fallout feel.
I still want to pick this up, even if its just for the sake of seeing my avatar :P.
I think I'll pass on this, seems like a decent game but anything that's not an AAA title I simply can't afford.
I don't think online gaming has gotten worse, they've just forgotten about the other countries besides the US and optimized it for them, thereforth making it crap for us outside the US.
The game looks very interesting, I just hope that it will be able to save Midway, if not then someone can pick them up so they can continue the franchise.
Sigh, if only my monetary funds could go that far :(.
Its a pretty advanced RPG, but you gotta give these game's some time and lovin and soon you'll fall into the world that they offer.
Sorry I think that MS are only going after Sony because its the only other next gen console, say what you want but the Wii gets very old and its just GC hardware with added motion controls.
RROD is not that common on the new Xbox's, especially now because of the Jasper chip, you're right that selling more consoels doesn't mean you're the best, look at Nintendo, sure the idea was great but how many people still paly them? People buy consoles if they're cheap and have a great games lineup, thats why the PS2 did so well.
Not surprising considering the current line up of games, the price cuts and the heavy advertising. Microsoft have the formula to make big sales, its just whether consumers in hard to reach areas such as Europe and Japan will cave in to their demands. They're definitely making steps into those markets, US is fairly safe as far as they're concerned, either way its a great time to be a gamer.
Much like Oblivion, it seems pretty shallow from the start, but once you start digging you find a game that has irreputibale amounts of depth and an enigmatic story.
Indeed it is, but it is also an article from that stating what could happen if it was.
