I have to disagree with you, its not good for competition, Activision started the whole 'lets raise game prices by $10' mentality. The quicker they go before this catches on with everyone (Ubi has now started) the better.

Yeah but the problem is community, Halo ODST kept the same multiplayer as Halo 3 so realistically unless they release Call of Duty single player games with the same multiplayer (they essentially will but will continually fragment the player base) it's not the same.
I'm glad I can't wait to see Activision burn up into a giant hole and Bobby Kotick die.
