The reason updates can't be done externally is because the console has to be able to read and access that data 24/7 all the time. And with USB 2.0 speeds it is way to slow for that. They should have at least had a built in HDD bay even if they didn't want to give you a HDD.

In all honesty the only must have is W101 and even then that's the only new experience I'm looking forward to on Wii u. Sonic Lost Worlds, a new Zelda, Pokemon X/Y, and Smash Bros are all coming to the 3DS so the PS4 is the console I need to have this holiday.

Lol the Wii U is $349 compared to the $399 ps4. I already have a years subscription to plus which gets me free games. And I'll have 6 free to play games at launch to play so no the PS4 for me is going to be cheaper then owning a Wii U. The ps4 comes with a 500 gig hard drive vs 32 gigs of flash memory. actually you can get the cheap 4-8 gig and I've seen 16 gigs for $30. Abd PS+ works across all your PS devices so its really a non issue. And with PS= you already got atleast 6 games to play right there.

Actually developers do push specs. The original 360 was originally going to have only 256MB of total ram. Developers pushed MS to increase it because it was not enough. And its not about how powerful the hardware is but how user friendly. Developers have already come out and stated that the PS4 is cheaper to develop for due to it's easy to program for hardware. The real doesnt start until after 32 inches. That's usually the size most manufactures stick with 720p at because at that size there is no difference. And as a college student I only have space for a TV of that size anyway so no big deal. Now the TV in the main room at home is a different story but rarely do I play in there due to all the interruptions while I'm playing. Besides if you own a Vita like me you'll probably be playing at 540p anyway.

Well no you should get the console where your games of choice are. Never buy something just because someone's else does. Even friends and family. Lol no thanks MS can keep their shitty kinect. Rather have this package as I will actually use everything it comes with. If I ever buy the X1 the kinect is going straight for the dump. And the PS eye can do a lot of the same stuff Kinect can do.
