I bought the PS3 on the premises there would be a googd flow of game. I get a new 360 every 2 weeks. The PS3 draught is so bad I had to buy RE4 and Shadow of the col just to keep the console ticking over. Most of the time it runs Folding@home or DVDs, not games.

I am patient but another 6, 8 12 months is a long tim to wait for the true power to flow. In 4 years time I am sure the Xbox v3 and PS4 will be out, and the pS3 will be where the PS2 is now, at its pinnacle.

The 360 has had failed games. THe difference is, the PS3 cannot afford to have failed games as its library is dire in comparison. I have nothing to play on my PS3 at the moment.
There is no point say next year. What about now, when the competition has so many good games. A 'looking good on paper' sale will not cut it any more.

For £2000 it should be better than the consoles in terms of performance. The problem is not everyone can spend that on a PC. Therefore the experience is not the same for everyone.
