Notch mentioned it would not take away from Minecraft but be a complement. Anti-competitive in the sense of making the pie bigger. I get the feeling Minecraft was just a mesh of something he did not understand, part of it was more political (just pirate my game and pay if you can). He ran an anti-corporation mentality and showing us what a good company does out of goodwill, and it showed when we made him successful. This was, imo, the crux of his success. Only, he sold his company after break...

They have since applied the concept to conventional games. Like dungeons, a Diablo-like game that’s more appropriate to younger kids. The idea is that it is adaptable to other applications including education, which they also sold. Not to mention adding as a first party title for themselves and they needed tax write off. Notch was lucky in a sense. They were able to sell it off as a versatile software with infinite applications rather than a game.

Agreed. I was disappointed with everything, particularly the expansion card. I mean, you want digital sales? Give customers the shopping cart! That they protected Seagate and WD to have a duopoly to maintain price of those, so how are we to enjoy our digitals? I am choosing PC, PS5 or 6, or Nintendo. And their rant on BC, well now there is a cross gen tax. So all the choices was anything but gaming, just business decisions to make it a generic console that plays previous gen games. The S rule...

So how good is this game? It's difficult accounting for fake reviews, I couldn't even find a reliable source. It comes down to its okay and pretty good, but some of the reviews are "too good" if you get the drift. The trouble I have is even finding an honest review given the floods of bot reviews.

People who are righteous think it’s money lost. Not true. It’s advertising. You build fans. Look at Minecraft. There’s a reason it gained momentum, with the original creator telling ppl to pirate his game, followed by paying for it when you get the chance. Stephen King did the same thing. The pursuit of suing ppl isn’t proving anything. Just theatrics that pump their ego but accomplishes nothing meaningful.

Tbh it’s always gonna be something around the corner. Stick with it for 3-4 years. Possibly you may have to buy everything new again but unless it’s your hobby to build things enjoying what you have is a discipline in itself. I’m still on rx 480 and about to upgrade that.

Nvidia abandoned gamers. Their focus is AI. Thats a certain market that aren’t gamers.

Not only that, but marvel vs capcom collection was released on switch and PlayStation. Not on XSX. So Xbox got no love from competitors either or they are locking in the nail.

So does this mean ultimate edition is not as complete as definitive edition? And then we will have titanium ed after that? Then an ultimate definitive titanium edition? Never cease to amaze me the intentional mislabeling of editions to sound complete when they are not. I learned from tekken 7, when they removed deluxe edition. Let’s be more honest with the naming system. Let’s not fool buyers into believing the complete editions.

AI is here to stay. People always fight change. So long as we seek efficiency AI is next step. Profits, yes AI is there. Only way AI will be rid is if we decide to live without the need to feel like we have to rush and make money, which is the cause of our problems today. It's a problem-reaction-solution style of life that's rather empty.

I think there is an amiguity in that statement. Humans make games [with assistance from AI]. So he's making a deceptive comment on an empty rhetoric knowing that people are not wanting any AI involvement. His argument is pointing out the obvious that AI does not make games [100%]. That humans still primarily the creators. But of course that's obvious. AI will always have human oversight. The question is how much is AI responsible for in the creation, not who created the product which ...

Yes, it can be marketing to charge more fee. Like organic food. Then there are unscrupulous ones who charge for organic not being organic.

This time, let SNK take the lead in their style of animation. I love what Capcom did but I want to see it the other way. Oh and dont forget about Tekken X Street Fighter.

Other careers not necessarily greener but I can’t imagine life without stability. Think that’s why I found a career in video games unattractive. It’s also the first to go when times are not prosperous. Stability is in things ppl need and something to have. To be happy, lose the desire and craving for what you think you want. Be content with less or little. Appreciate the small aspects, that leads to greater fulfillment.

Somehow? You mean the people who put their money into the company and wonder how their money is being used? The hero borrows from others bc they are not using their own capital hence why they are public company. It’s a responsibility to communicate the idea, and having an open mind to bridge various opinion. Branding questions as smart and not smart is a terrible way to focus an article on. Rather, explain the concerns and the response to them intelligently and compassionately.

Maybe bc Microsoft had foresight. Look at what Europe did to Apple. They practically told Apple to change their cables to be universal and that they had to open their OS so other software developers can put their store on their platform. In a timeline. Per the “law” they made up. And then Turkey saying the price too high and Sony must lower the price. Europe likes control or. Vision where their government rules.

Without passion, the product loses its soul that much. Nobody said it had to be 100% passion, I said it had to not be weighed heavily on money matters as to be predatory. Balance my friend, it’s a matter of ratio and management. Video games just aren’t that valuable when other forms exist, and that’s sad considering there are avenues other than graphics that can make a game good and not as costly. That’s structuring the team. I have followed other forms since this industry didn’t get it. And ...
