Well... the reason betas have limited numbers is because of the servers. If they get too much people in, the servers are gonna crash.
Agreed. I never really collected my PS2 games, bought and traded in.
But Im collecting my PS3 games. I really won't want that to be unplayable in the next gen.

Pandoras box hasn't opened because the "hackers" never hacked anything in the first place. the device was originally used in sony repair centers.
Because when piracy goes rampant you get the PSP. good hardware sales. horrible software sales. Then devs start ditching the system.
Especially seeing how easily the jailbreak worked- it could have become a huge problem for software sales.
Most PS3 owners that aren't pirates would like it to remain unhacked.

I think the obvious thing people are missing is a translation error.

If it were actual backward compatibility they would have actually given a separate bullet point. This just means you can backup PS1 and PS2 games. And play them If the PS3 supports it (all PS3s have Ps1 support. only some have PS2)
The newer PS3s lack the hardware to do it. and the ps3 has only been hacked for a week or so....
Lets hope this patched out dev mode. (if that is possible) or disable the backup manager's gameID

I never unstood the socom craze. Socom series were never about the story. only about multiplayer. wouldn't socom4s gameplay be an updated socom 2?

The orb isn't too innoying on Move Required games. but seeing that on the KZ2 or Infamous 2 boxarts isn't good.
