Actually the Story in "The Legend of Zelda series" are just fine the way it is, they don't need to be anything like darksiders. All your asking for is to mature it to a select few liking's which "zelda" is certainly not about.
you want over the top combat like darksiders well why dont you just play that game again lol, the gameplay in the "zelda" series is design that way it doesnt need to copy something that doesnt fit.
