Dude horizon sold extremely well and I'm sorry but horizon came out at a time when the PS4 was being absolutely bombarded with quality exclusives
How about the totally unscripted gameplay that can provide two totally different scenarios in the same location all in a huge,beautiful open world game

I'm sorry a game doesn't have to be revolutionary to be goty which is why Zelda,Mario,persona 5 were all nominated. Horizon as easily the best combat in an open world rpg that's def astoundingly good and it has sidequest better than 95 percent of open world games with witcher 3 being the only one recently that had better.
I loved neir automata but it's open world was seriously trash.
I have to disagree and I feel like if botw wasn't a Zelda game most people would say it wasn't as good as horizon. I mean looking at it fairly horizon had a better story,characters,enemies and their a.i., graphics,voice acting,sidequests and the big one combat. The only thing botw truly did better was the physics,exploring and being able to climb everything.

It doesn't matter that there's a another weapon close at hand it's a superfluous addition that adds absolutely nothing to the game and is there just to be there. It's dumb being in a fight and hitting an enemy three times just for your weapon to break and that's just with normal weapons with the really cool ones they might last a little longer but it's a still a big problem that could have been solved if it was tweaked like dark souls or just wasn't there to begin ...

Yeah you didn't play it because you can freerun and climb pretty much everything,the combat is actually challenging instead of counter god mode and what checklist lol doing sidequests like all open world games have
Lol you just proved his point all those consoles besides the n64 were the weakest of their respective gens and outsold the competition by a ton. Ps1,ps2 and Wii were the weakest of their respective gens and guess what all three sold the most during their gens so yeaaahhh.
