GOW because it was truly the complete package. It had an amazing story,made Kratos a liked and relatable character which was no easy feat,had amazing combat,outstanding graphics and level design,Great supporting characters,tons of content and the single best new game mechanic of the last few years the axe throw and recall with the best use of haptic feedback in a game.
Baldur was far from a god awful villain if you played the game you would know that. He was def better than Micah bell who had all the subtlety of a mustache twirling villain lol. Atreus didn’t serve no purpose besides to show Kratos aged you say yet he proves to be a big help in combat and is an integral part to the lore of the game. It’s fine you didn’t enjoy the story but when the general consensus is that it was excellent you need to accept you’re in the minority

I would hold it’s gameplay,controls,pacing of its story,it’s selective realism and horrible online mode infested with mts against it

Wrong the game awards have gamers and critics vote and then combine them. Destructoid just gave it goty today and it’s looking like it’s getting polygons tomorrow. It’s going to come down to only a handful of wins seperating the two but gow has never trailed rdr 2 it’s been in the lead the whole time since awards season started and I can see it finishing with the most by just a handful
