The prices! Core games tend to keep the same price for years!
So, not everyone is willing to pay 60E for a game with 2 years old!
shovelwere tend to drop prices a lot faster and keep selling that way!
So core gamers, like me, and most people I know, buy games at online retailers from Uk! they are a lot cheaper!

as far as i know, RE4 was released as a GC exclusive... and then ported to the Ps2 and PC.
Gamecube used mini-DVD's and the PS2 version was not longer... in fact PS2 version was pushed down...

A lot of gamers here (in Portugal) are using online UK stores to buy new games!
New releases, like SF4 and Killzone2, cost around £62 (70Euros). And then, they show up @ Gamestop and Game stores, used for 65E.
Games like Hallo 3, MGS4, Lost Odyssey, Bioshock are still priced @ 60~65E used... Even Ps2 used games are sold above 45E...
So we, I included, buy games from Uk online retailers...
And I'm sure that A LOT of people do this!

From what i've read, the engine works on PC, then the code is ported to the PS3.
So what make you guys think that the Xbox will be ported from the PS3 code? that makes no sense at all :|
Multi games showed us that the PS3 is not more powerful then the Xbox, nor the Xbox more powerful then the PS3. the PS3 advantage is the capacity of the BluRay. But ...

I know some Xbox360 owners that bought the console for their RPG's, so if FFXIII is coming to the Box, its a must buy.
I've done the same, i bought the Xbox for Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, Forza... And till now I was thinking in buying the PS3 for FFXIII, right now... there's no point in doing that :|
I own most systems for their exclusives, if its not exclusive, theirs no point in buying another system for a game that is available in a system I alread...

but there are people like me, that don't "play" pirate games, they download them, try them and make sure that its worth paying 45E for them (in NDSL case)!
The PSP, well... you all know what's going on with it... the only game i own is Final Fantasy Crisis Core...
My Wii and Xbox360 are clear from any pirate devices and they are easily hacked... :P

Here, you can buy an Xbox360 for 200E, the PS3 is 400E.
So the Xbox is half the price of the PS3. Then, you have the lack of games in the Ps3, especially in the RPG department.
I'm not saying that the PS3 is a bad investment.
