I might pay for skyrim remastered to revisit it especially with mod support. I played it on pc but I'm just not a pc gamer, I'm a programmer so being on a pc any longer then I have to just feels tiring.
So I might buy a console version depending on what they do with it.
It's not that hard to imagine. If someone was after me like that army id gladly kill them as they threaten my safety. But it doesn't mean I'm going to kill everyone I come across. Neither does it mean I'm a serial killer or can't make light of it
Lots of gamers are entitled, so bioware had the right to say it. I'd say 80% of the comments on n4g have a hint of entitlement to them
Maybe you didn't play better games. Metroid prime 2 while not too old I still consider one of the best fps. Earthbound one of the best RPGs, great platforms as well around that time like tak, tye, spyro
Fuck how'd you know?!?
Can I see how many of these grade projects you've done sense they must be soooo easy?
Depends. Expense of games is in employees. I've seen studies of one or just two artist sorta compete with the big games
I could also make the biggest pixel game ever and make it cost more then gta 5
Uncharted 4s multiplyer was not tacked on. It's my favourite uncharted mp so far
The outskirts were the best areas of gta 5. Was so sick of the city environments
Well Japan does have a thing for steam rollers. Ever sense DIO came onto the scene
I don't think you understand cloud computing. It's hella expensive. I don't think Microsoft which just let a third party use up their server space.
Cloud computing is basically doing the same thing that mmos do but instead of using it for keeping track of all players and those calculation it's doing physical calculations at least in the case of crackdown. Mmos counteract that cost buy having monthly fees, microtransactions or constant flow of dlc.
@edmix don't count dmc dmc as a sales reference it should be painfully clear to capcom why that didn't sell. I'm a huge dmc fan but refused to buy it and I'm sure many other dmc fans followed
Games are also a lot more expensive and work then they were back then. It's hard to take risks on a 50 million project.
I think in the ps1 day's final fantasy 7 was bragging that it's budget was a million. Ps2 I'm not quite sure what the budget was but game business can be quite scary sometimes.
Mgs5 was awsome, Jesus what do gamees expect now a days. yes it didn't have a story focus but the gameplay was killer
It isn't way off to the future... It was next years games. At worst early 2017 or 2017 which is typical of everyone's e3.
Naughty dog has zero experience in giant monster creation. If anything the God of war team should do it. But you'd probay end up brutally killing your pet in the first sequence if they did
I don't know how anyone can say this looks like a PS3 game. Did you see that creature. It's fur. That was crazy. If you can show me the PS3 demonstrating the same thing on a monster of that scale then I'll have no choice but to agree. But there isnt
Then there's some who confuse art style and graphics. Something can be technically worse but look better then something with all the fancy whistles if you prefer certain artstyles. Then again what even are graph...
Cost is always a factor. Have you ever seen these big games and their credits? That's where the cost imagine them paying every single one of those people. Plus the small cost of tech. The big cost is in the skilled labour. Some programmers are paid 130 K, some artists more, leads even more.
Indies can do it for cheap because recently a lot of game engines have free offerings for them, and the small team can all agree to work for free until the game releases. When there ...
It looked nothing like a PS3 game.
Sometimes stories have to come to an end to make room for new stories
Kratos is pretty done at this point. Id still buy a game with him no question but I'd rather see what they can do with something else
