Article in a nutshell
"So how come 1.2 million for the Vita is a success where higher figures for the 3DS were seen as a flop?"
I also like how he uses pocketbiz for the UK sales when they aren't really an official source and assumes the rest of the sales in different regions going off of just that. It also hasn't even been a week yet since the Vita worldwide launch. IGN will never admit that they were wrong about the Vita it seems lol.
Welcome to N4G. This type of journalism has been going on for away now. Good read.
Yeah, the PS Vita memory cards are pretty small. You really have to keep up with them if don't wanna shell out money for another due to you losing it.
I also like how the submitter left out this part.
"We have no details so far about the project although we can bet that it is something related to the VITA jailbreak scene."
No problems on my end (still can get in). Working perfectly, I had a problem with the Unit 13 before but it's good now.
Interesting duplicate? This should also be label as a rumor since he isn't even sure it'll work or finished with his "upcoming project".

After all the comments from journalists and the haters....
*looks around now* ~Crickets~
But wow! Great sales. Glad to see the Vita had such a good launch.
Edit: "I think the support we’ve got from day one is vital. The fact that we’ve got big launch titles and more importantly we’ve got some huge franchises coming to the platform later in the year.”
Nice to see that they're getting support as well.
I do not wanna get stuck with just playing iOS games in the future. Seems like most journalists really want it to dominated and happen though with their handhelds/consoles vs iOS articles as of recently.
Sweet list, Trendy. I'm going with Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, Mass Effect 3 and Unit 13 for my March purchases.
Idk NYC, I think the PS Vita is doing well (It's still in the top 10 on Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart in the US). I think it even did well in the UK (Going off of the recent UK sales report).
Hey Thrill, I bought MvC3 with my Vita (Never got the PS3 version). It's pretty damn fun. I'm gonna try to get Rayman soon.
Cool by me if true. They wouldn't have to sacrifice much then (certain effects, lightning, graphical features, etc).
True, even gaming journalists and video game critics are getting hacked now. Crazy how Microsoft tries to blame everything on it's customers.
Edit: @ Mika
True, I think there was even an article on how Live accounts were being sold on a website (The website was even still live and going on after the article was posted lol), but once again, MS turned a blind eye and blamed it on the people.
Nice review, Thrill. Most of the other reviews just ragged on the QTE throughout (Like Heavy Rain). Good read.
I like this part.
"This is not a phishing problem, as Microsoft has repeatedly asserted."
It's crazy how there's almost no coverage on the hacks.
Meanwhile on N4G "Why you shouldn't buy a Vita. Sony shafted us all, not really, but still."
Edit: @ Titanz
I'll be sure to use that whenever I run into someone who's Live account has been hacked. "Don't play the victim card&...
Why don't Xbox gamers buy their exclusives? This should've done better. I think they should bring it to the PS3 as well to get better sales /sarcasm (Sounds familiar though right?)
Joking aside, I would love to see PS3 gamers/more people in general get a crack at Alan Wake. It's a really good game.
Nice to see that Little Deviants did that well too. Reviews were pretty harsh for that game and to see it hit 50,000. *claps* Still tripping at how well the First Editions Vitas sold though. Especially considering that the 3DS was way cheaper ($160).
Edit: Lol, where'd the approves go? XD
Didn't the Vita release on the 22nd?
Edit: Nvm, these are those $350 First Editions according to VG. I can't wait to see how the $250 launch model did if the First Edition models sold that much ("No one's gonna buy those" lol). I still gonna wait for NPD for the official numbers though.
@ Financial
I see. Twisted Metal did well. I think VGchartz has Resistance 3 at a little over 1 million now. Not a flop in my eyes. <...
Good to see Vita games doing well. I might preorder Unit 13 next paycheck.
I feel like if people want a Vita, they're gonna buy it regardless of an 3DS ad.
Weird, mostly everything dropped or remained stagnant. Wow, at the last week sales for the 360 though. It sold 983 that week.
