I think your point has been proving with those PS2 sales , and when you compare it to the PS3 sales it really does show that Sony has lost market share.
But I dont think it's fair to also compare now and then , times have changed , competition is more stiff and the PS3 is selling 10 million per year at $400 , which isn't bad....next year should be interesting.
Keep dreaming about FF13 being released on the 360 in Japan...FF13 will move tons of PS3 hardware in Japan....
not every game that is released has to be a system seller dude , these are games ppl are looking forward to, which makes them anticipated games..
GOW3 might to come out next year true , but the PS3 still has the better line up when compared to the 360 for 2009...prove me wrong..!

with the amount of Wii's that's being sold at $250 why drop the price..
on the other hand the 360 was kinda floundering in sales all year so M$ needed to drop the price to stay competitive plus they want a piece of the casual market..i guess
so it seems that the PS3 had the edge in NA until the recent price cut...and it basically already Won the HD market in Japan..
EU sales should be close also..with the PS3 coming out on top...
So I guess the PS3 isn't doomed as many want us to believe the PS3 is actually kicking ass worldwide..XD , without a desperate price cut..:D

KZ1 was only a big-disappointment to the media since they were the ones hyping this game to be a Halo killer...I enjoyed the game and the same sold well despise the negative criticism
Heavy Rain getting criticism for QTS..um ? Ninja Blade wont exactly be any different you know..? plus QTS is perfect for a game like Heavy rain.
WKC is gonna be out in Spring the Latest...why would Sony delay the game when it's already gone gold..?

while I would agree that the economy is probably putting a lil hamper on PS3 sales , look at the bigger picture..for a system originally priced at $600 , shouldn't it have withered off into obscurity.?
yet the PS3 has managed to stay competitive being twice as expensive as it's rivals and once the price comes down sales will pick up even more..
I think Sony shouldn't have released so many great games n such a short period of time..they all just cannibalized each oth...
Dead Space was one of the best games I played all year
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was also good..not great but enjoyable
it may not be better than SF2 , but it sure as hell is up there with the best 2D fighters of all time...
and if you've never played the game it's best you dont talk bad about it :D

Gears 2 is good game though , and im sure Uncharted 2 will be even better than than the 1st one
they've had alot more time to tweak there engine im sure the frame rate will be stable plus screen tearing will be a thing of the past..
The game looks amazing and to think they have a year left to polish this gem up...
