Its quite the opposite ... Nintendo brought out the N64 very hardcore console with an amzong game library and didn't a lot of gamers turned there backs to Nintendo and jumped over to the PS1 ,???
The Gamecube was an awesome console with some awesome hardcore games for Ninty ... Gamers turned there backs and ignored nintendo even more ...

Wii is No Console King .... Nintendo took a gamble and got lucky and hit gold with the casual market , soccer moms , grandparents all in one ....The Wii is a good console with a lot of great games , but its also very dated.
PS3 and 360 are the console kings , right now the PS3 has the crown but the 360 is miles a better console than the Wii and the little saying on N4G ...:
"Sales doesn't equal quality" : well that goes for the Wii also ...
ME1 was amazing even with the technical probs , it was still a great game and is my fave 360 game so far ... Can't wait to play this one

Secondly , name me one other console game that had 100+ feet titans in the background actively participating in the game while you are also playing the main game ... so maybe the game won't look as good as U2 but that is for obvious reasons ..
This game will be *TECHNICALLY* superior to all consoles action game when it launch...
FFIX , remains the best in the series. IMO ... It doesn't get the props it deserves ..

First of all the PS3 lasted 3 years without a single RPG from the SE the biggest publisher of RPG's in Japan..
Sales have been healthy and to be honest the PS3 really doesn't need FF13 to be a success because its already a success , "SE needs the PS3 more than Sony needs a SE RPG right about now .."
Either way FF13 will just boost the PS3 sales and continue the momentum the price cut started into the new year .. ...
JRPG's have evolved by why fix what isnt broken... the story , the characters , the battle system the accessibility of them is what sets them apart from WRPG's
look at FF7 and look at FF12 the series did evolve but it also kept what was liked most about JRPG's and I dont mind...
give me a good story , with charismatic characters and awesome battle system im good

great figures for the PS3 ... sales have remained consistent since the price cut .... Sony will have a great holiday seasons this year , PSP sales are pretty good also...

Well im a big fan of the first AC soo pre-ordered AC2 months ago , people seems to be forgetting that AC sold almost 5 million on the 360 and over 3 million on the PS3 , its gonna be a huge seller also ...

This is a smart move by Sony alot of people seem to be forgetting that AC was a huge seller on both the 360 and PS3 and it sold well even after a year after coming out .... This game will be huge either way ..
Why should they , they sold over 1 million 360's ... Almost doubling the amount of the first Xbox , MS knew they wouldn't win Japan , I'm sure they are happy with the progress they made .... Maybe not much but come next gen ... They will most likely double the 360 sales ....
