Uh, read the original article in its original language. That's not what it says. That's not what it means.

Someone is leaping to the wrong conclusion. This story, while popular, is false.
Read the story again -- it's not for sale in newsagents. It's subscription only, delivered to your door only, so you only have to go as far away as the mailbox to get it.
So, yes, you're entirely right. :)
Who's Dan Emerich?
I removed someone's posts from my blog and that person got angry. So no, it's not news. It doesn't even have anything to do with my job.
Nobody's asked me to take it down; it's my personal site, not OXM's, and I'm just speaking as an individual about one of the frustrations I've felt over the years. I have added a clarification to the original post so as to avoid further confusion -- your interpretation particularly is pretty far off from what I was trying to say -- but I did not change the body text when I updated.
The blog has been updated with a clarification, as it seems people misinterpreted my sarcasm. I'm really surprised to see where these reactions have gone, and how people felt my post was saying something completely different. I will be more explicit next time I write a personal blog.

Much ado about nothing. The game will still come out.
Four words: You're doing it wrong.
There are more since OXM did a similar list -- just seven back then:

How do we stop them from breeding? :)
It's my understanding that the original one-handed controller was built for a returning war veteran who had lost the use of one of his hands/arms, but still wanted to play Xbox 360.
You do know that EA does, in fact, have the digital rights to Monopoly, right?

I think that's jumping ahead quite a bit. First, Take 2 has to accept. Then there's time for things to shake out. Then we'll see if the acquisition of a very successful developer/publisher has enough impact to enforce a hardware standard.
Planning? Yes. Announcing, releasing, readying for sale? No.
Ford is planning the 2010 Mustang, too, you know?
This will probably not change how N4G runs. When a company invests like this, it's because they like what they see, and generally either a) want a piece of the profit, b) want to give the site some support to attain more profit, or c) both.
So don't sweat it. It's likely to be a good deal for everybody involved, and it's a testament to the work already done.
And yes, I work for Future, but guess how I learned this news? :)
I wasn't impressed with how Gizmodo handled the Halo 3 unboxing, and I was less impressed with this. I have a lot of options of where to get my tech news and I've never felt the need to get it from Gizmodo. Too many options to spend clicks on sites like theirs.
What didn't you like about them? How do they sound?
I believe these are all low-res scans from the UK magazine Xbox 360 World, which published them a few months back. I recognize them from the article, and don't see anything new since. Just FYI.
I work for OXM, not Microsoft. I work for the reader, really, and the reader has a choice of what set to buy. We review all the other HDTV manufacturers' products; why wouldn't we want to review Sony?
We return all TV sets that come in for review. It's not about scoring free gear. They're never ours to keep.
The tweet is a Photoshop fake, as I said on my Twitter feed back on the day that it appeared:

@OneOfSwords is my work account where I talk about Activision stuff. The @DanAmrich account is my personal account and it is real, but I do not post about work on it (at least, not intentionally -- sometimes I slip up and RT something from the wrong accou...
