So on a PC I can replace my motherboard and upgrade my operating system and change my ram and my graphics card with components that come from entirely different companies and all my software and games will instantly be compatible but on a home console that is seemingly impossible. I smell bullshit.
The ONE and only gaming system that you will ever need. Except if you want to play 360 games. Then you will need TWO systems. Come to think of it the logic behind the name of the XBOX ONE doesn't make sense. Damn.

It does continue the trend of downward spiraling Sony first party titles. PlayStation All Stars, God of War Ascension, and now Grand Turismo 6 (Sony's heaviest hitter) have all drastically under preformed. Motorstorm is dead and gone, Sly Cooper failed and probably wont be getting a sequel any time soon and Little Big Planet 2 undersold the first by almost half. Time for a little originality and NO Knack doesn't count.

How did anyone ever enjoy a game without 1080p. Everyone with a PS3 or a 360 or a low end PC should just throw there copies of Battlefield 4 into a fire. As a matter of fact all games that aren't 1080p should be destroyed. Games like The Last of Us and Super Mario 64 and anything on the Super Nintendo. Burn it all because obviously resolution matter more than actual gameplay. Right. Right?

The visual downgrade Uncharted 2 received (look it up) didn't result in a worse game. Most games have a visual downgrade from the demo builds. Doesn't make the game any less good.
I missed the part where this actually made the game better. Graphics have never made game play better. that is why all the greatest games ever made didn't need 1080P or 60 frames a second. The game fundamentally the same at 900 or 1080. Only a small percentage of gamers would ever even notice the difference anyway. It amounts to nothing more than a sharpen filter.
All of this amounts to nothing more than medium settings on a PC anyway.
What Gemmol was saying is that not only does Nintendo have extremely high review scores they also have some of the highest selling games in the industry. So no the games may not be for everyone but they do in fact reach a very broad audience and that is proven in the sales numbers. You may not care about Mario Kart Wii but 30 million people bought that game. So clearly Nintendo is doing something right.

Maybe Nintendo is not as worries as you think they should be. Last time I checked the Wii U was gaining a bit more traction and has some big AAA games on the way and the 3DS was the biggest selling piece of hardware in the entire gaming world. Not to mention Pokemon X and Y are selling millions. If they see merrit in it then why not let them have a go at it.

If you wanna make a fair comparison just look at Knack as opposed to Super Mario 3D World. Cerny cant hold a candle to Miyamoto and it shows. All the hardware in the world can't help a lack of innovation.
