Just like every single launch, accept this time there are crazy free indie games for launch and top 80-90 metascore third party games like BF4 and AC4.

Taking into account currency differences, the anatomy of the $60/£45 price and where it goes and this IP most likely being western based. That sales amount would mean a development cost approaching $300m (depending on royalty cost/digital distribution for next-gen). That is over double GTA V, and still 50% more than SWTOR. Cliffy just leave the business side to the publishers atm

Well at this point the PS2 was on 87 million, and that was with a much lower price tag, calculating the difference in percentages of yearly growth, another 100 million console is definitely on the cards with moves to China and South America which others are not doing.

Not ignorant, the cost to add backwards compatibility is too high hardware wise, they would have to accommodate two completely different CPU systems, why PS3 cost sooo much more before price drop
