I downloaded this demo from the Japanese marketplace last year. This is OLD!
Fun demo though.
...and it's pretty evident to me that about 60%-70% of the textures are placeholder. How can I tell - mainly because if you compare Snowbound to the other two levels you can see that that map has had so much more work done to it than the others. There are some beautiful textures - worthy of Gears comparison, such as the golden tops of the snow bases - but then you go look at some rocks in Valhalla and you realise that they are the same Halo 2 rock textures you've been staring at for 3 years. ...
and have been playing all day/night - amazing stuff. Graphics will need polishing but gameplay wise it's amazing.
No lag or latency issues either, and I'm in the UK!
I got a F&F invite and have been playing it for a couple of hours now - and yes, the graphics are good. They will need polishing - but we knew this anyway.
The important thing is that this game is hella fun, the Assault Rifle is such a good addition - only downsides are that 2 player doesn't go widescreen but boxes up to a 4:3 ratio, and i wish they had put some more maps in the Beta, but beggars and testers can't be choosers ay?
Anyway - back to playing it! ...

Guys, aren't those PGR4 pictures actually scans from that magazine that did the PGR4 blowout? These comparisons are the most pointless and ridiculous thing we've ever seen - sure we all want to see them up close next to each other, but until we can get full rez HD screenshots of all 3 this exercise has its limits.
Give PGR time, I reckon it's going to be awesome stuff - and hey we'll get Geo Wars 3 as well!

Not my kettle of fish I guess. And that guy above, benisme, of course he is FB material, he provokes for the sake of it - isn't that obvious? Otherwise he wouldn't try and bait someone who likes a game by saying how much he hates it and likes another, not only that but one that's obviously not even on the same console as the guy who liked the first game!!! Sometimes it's easier to spectate with this stuff, but where is the fun in that?
Had any one thought that the most probable time that people will be playing crackdown again is when it will be in their console....
