Wii U is not comparable to the switch at all. Remember the biggest game on Wii U also came out on switch and that is BOTW.
Wii U didn't have a main line 3d mario game or a main Zelda game or animal crossing or pokemon.

It's Crash that's benefiting since that has an entire month of release but Splatoon still came out on top.
The console is selling 100K weekly in japan and still sold out with people lining up. It would take 10 "finland" sized country to fill the demand.
