For one the pro patch came out a whole month before the X even was released. And as several have said the devs weren't even planning to do one for the pro a year ago.
Edit: let's be real, the pro patch that came out first that you emphasizing is a joke compared to this one. So now we gonna get a better upgrade AFTER the X. The pro patch should have been like this out the gate.

I couldn't understand the hype behind this game, even at E3 I was thoroughly confused.
I'm guessing they just wanted to get it out for the holidays. Which I can definitely understand. They had a rough start but they will get it together.
I don't think anyone expected the price of the Xbox one to drop 6 months after release.

The exact thing happened to me when I got my first Xbox one, the first titanfall became free with the system two weeks later.
So I kinda answered my own question. Microsoft hasn't won a month since October 2016. Also worth noting for the year of 2017 there has been a ps4 game in the overall charts every month it seems prior to this month, so maybe they don't matter all year but most the year is still fine.

Because that's what gets done when any hyped game comes out the gate stumbling. Drive club, nms and the order, this, Mass effect, nothing really new.
Drive club was criticized. Hell the developers lost their job. Gt sport came playable just not complete compared to previous titles.
I don't know if it was intentional or not. But if you are arguing that you don't care how this game performs or how it looks, than trashing the pro in comparison to the 1X seems stupid.
Sounds like they should have waited longer with this one.
Lack of a free mode is really disappointing.
