He has a point, ever since Sony entered the gaming industry (and eventually MS) Nintendo has lost market share. As long as the majority of gamers are mature adults Nintendo will continue into decline.

Nintendo platforms are the Mario/Zelda/Pokemon/etc. box. 3rd party games don't sell well whether they're exclusive or not. A lot of devs/publishers have realized this which is why they stay away. Not so much for their handhelds though which a big strength for Nintendo.
