Eternal Sonata is an outstanding game. I'll admit a lot of people will rag on this game but it was right up my alley and I enjoyed it a lot. The combination of real-time strategy mixed with turn based style fighting was brilliant.

There's no doubt in my mind that that's just a punk move on any publishers part. That's just a way to make money off of those few who will buy the game anyway on the second console anyway. They know that many people won't go out and buy a 360 just for a sequel when they already own a PS3 and that sequel is coming out for the PS3 also at a later date. So to make money they'll just sell it for the same price on both consoles and still get some profit. Sounds great from a business standpoint but...

I'm all for the 3D technology in gaming but as a programmer I must look at there side of the story. Although it would be fun and interesting, I can't imagine the more time that will be spent on games which will inevitably make games come out even later unless they increase the size of their team working on the game. But even if they do increase the size I don't see it making things easier because basically you have to redo the game in a whole different look which would be heck but would pay o...

Removing the Backwards Compatibility from the PS3 just to lower the prices, to me, seems to be an obvious bad move. What Sony was thinking I have absolutely no idea. Maybe they purposely wanted people to go out and by PS2's as well as PS3's. Who knows. Even though Sony has taken a lot of steps back, they are doing an amazing job of catching up although I fear their time is running out because Microsoft and Nintendo are just surging ahead and are not looking back. What I believe Sony needs to ...

I think what Sony was looking for with the Home is something that will keep consumers occupied for a bit until they can come out with their next big hit. That's why they aren't putting their best into it. It's something that they don't want to spend too much money on. As for completely getting rid of it, I don't think that they should because there are some people that do enjoy themselves on home for many hours a day. It's just that we don't hear about or from those people so we assume that t...

Sony definitely should have kept the backwards compatibility for the games from their previous systems. Simple math would show you that the amount of money that they would have saved by taking out the backwards compatibility compared to the loss of customers due to taking the backwards compatibility out is nowhere near profitable. Sony has lost many consumers because of this but because of the emulation they are sure to get them back with full force. Whether this results in a profit for Sony ...

It's good to hear what Guerilla Games is going to make another game and it's especially good to hear that they are keeping they're gaming engine limited to a few companies. This provides unique and rare gameplay that only they specialize in. I see them making an fps and not a third person shooter myself. If they were to make a third person shooter I can almost bet that we won't be seeing Guerilla Games in action for a few years because it's something totally new to them.

This is just the nature of humans when it comes to anything competitive. Since the gaming industry is competitive so will the fans of those games just like fans are with sports. People will buy one Franchise and then make fun of its competitor without ever having touched the competing franchise's games. As for why do it? When it comes down to it, it's all for pride in the end. It's just for bragging rights although the only ones that have any reason to brag are the companies themselves but fa...

I must disagree on the fact of not being ready to talk about the PSP2. I believe that this is how the race in the gaming industry should be done. As far as the memory sticks go, it will always be appealing to people to have to not buy an add-on just to play any hand-held or console. That's the reason for making the PSP Go so small and compact. It's less weight for people to lug around. As far as this system being the same price as the original PSP, I believe that Sony is banking on the origin...
