This is going to be amazing. Ive never seen any style of rpg as detailed as this is. (moreso the battle system and interaction with world rather than the graphics, which is still breathtaking).

After playing both games (and always being a PES fan) I can safely say FIFA is now in control of the footballing world on the console. FIFA 09 is superior in every way atm, maybe PES' feel is still good but its feel is very old and rigid. If you want that, go and bat off to pes4. Its a classic but its not movi...

HOWEVER, being a strong PES fan myself, this trend has changed completely.
PES since PES 6 has been slowly regressing and FIFA has been making huge improvements since FIFA 08.

Shame WAR took about 1.5 years too late. If it came out in about mid 2006 it really wouldve been poised to give WoW a good fight but with WotlK coming, WoW will dominate once again.
your right Baka, but FIFA's gameplay has improved loads and PES 2008 was complete garbage.
In terms of next-gen football games, FIFA easily has the crown atm.. and PES 2009 doesn't look very convincing at all as its the same engine as PES 08.

PES' gameplay has gone backwards since pes4 IMO. It used to be the king by a country mile.
since 2008, PES has just gone completely backwards. Even though i have always supported PES (heck even ISS too back in the day) I have to say that it really has fallen gracefully from its once untouchable level.
Fifa 08 dominated pes 08 in not just graphics but gameplay too, if you're not ignorant you would realize that.
I'm afraid it's going to be the same this year again also, fifa 09 will continue to make more significant strides in the next generation of football...
I really think this title has HUGE potential and is moving in a unique direction for SE. Can't wait for it and I think this might just be one of the killer apps of this console generation.
