For a first Gen title it looks just as good as Gears2.
And of course a lot more can be done to off load processing to the SPU's and in the future we will see that in physics and AI and of course raw Polygon rendering.

I own both systems and have ran both to see what difference was there!!
and well Gears had a cheesy story (jeopardize your operation for Maria common!!)..
but as for the Tech.Gears had Textures everywhere up the wazooo!! and so it looked to touchable and 3d !!
With Resistance it was so so so Clean and so Smooth.
But overall Gears had the depth of texture that won it over R2.
But R2 had a amazing frame rate and did have a better draw dis...
This game should be and will be good !!!
There technology is up there with Insomniac and Konami.
And this game isn't rushed and (1.5) like Resistance2 and Motorstorm2 was.
I feel comfortable knowing that we have Uncharted2,Gran Tourismo5 ,Home,Rage,Kill Zone 2,comming sooon, but at their pace,not ours..
